This magnificent lake is believed to have been visited by the founder of Tibetan Buddhism himself, Guru Padmasambhava, which is why it is believed to be sacred.

Pangong Tso Lake, Ladakh

It is perched at a height of 14,270 ft and is situated in the high-altitude desert of Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir. A visit to Ladakh is incomplete without witnessing the awe-striking Pangong Tso Lake. You may even watch some birds, such as Brahmani ducks, seagulls, etc. by the lake.

Teesta River, Sikkim
